my belief that the
purpose of conducting this workshop is to assess the stakeholder’s knowledge
and requirement (understanding user needs) in the context of climate
variability and its implication on disaster risk reduction and climate change
adaptation for Lake Tanganyika users, hence make the best out of it’ said Brig.
Gen. Maganga.
On
behalf of TMA Director General, Dr. Hamza Kabelwa read the speech prepared by
Dr. Kijazi by appreciating WMO initiatives through Global Framework for Climate
Services (GFCS) by creating awareness on marine products to Lake Tanganyika
users, thus reduce weather and climate impact risk.
